Week In Entertainment: 'Black Lightning' Premieres, 'Blade Runner 2049' Released On DVD

Tune-in: The new series Black Lightning premieres on the CW Tuesday. The series, based on the characters from the DC Comic of the same name, follows Jefferson Pierce, played by Cress Williams, a high school principal who mistakenly thought his superhero days were behind him.

ViewBlade Runner 2049, starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, is out Tuesday.  According to USA TODAY's Brian Truitt, who gave the flim **** out of four, the film is "super-stylish and deeply human ...  the spectacular follow-up takes the detective story of the first film and turns it into a grand mythology of identity, memory, creation and revolution."

Watch: The Detectorists returns to Acorn TV for a third season Monday. This six-episode season continues to follow Andy (Mackenzie Crook) and Lance (Toby Jones), two friends who share a devotion to metal detecting and their continued quests for love and gold.

Listen: Fall Out Boy's latest album Mania is out on Friday.  Several of the albums' singles have been released, including Young and Menace, Champion, The Last of the Real Ones and Hold Me Tight or Don't. The band is currently on a worldwide tour in support of the album.

Go-to12 Strong, starring Chris Hemsworth, opens nationwide Friday. The film tells the story of the first Special Forces team deployed to Afghanistan in the wake of 9/11 and is based on the book Story of a Band of US Soldiers Who Rode to Victory in Afghanistan by Doug Stanton.
