President Donald Trump praised the successful efforts to secure the release of an American woman who had been held captive by a Taliban-linked group since 2012.
Caitlan Coleman, 32, her Canadian husband and their three young children were freed in a "negotiated release," an official told Fox News on Thursday. Coleman and Josh Boyle were abducted while traveling in Afghanistan when she was seven months pregnant.>Read Full Article
The family was being held by the Haqqani network, a terror organization active along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
Trump praised the cooperation from the Pakistani government, saying "I believe they're starting to respect the United States again."
"It's very important. Right now I think a lot of countries are starting to respect the United States of America once again," he said before moving onto signing an executive order on health care.
