Stormy Daniels Talked About Alleged Affair With Trump During 2007 Radio Appearance: Report

Former adult film star Stormy Daniels reportedly spoke about her alleged sexual encounter with President Trump during an interview with a Florida radio host in May 2007.

Bubba the Love Sponge, formerly known as Todd Clem, played parts of Daniels’ decade-old appearance during his radio show Friday and Monday, CNN reported. During the interview, Clem asked Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, to write down the names of famous people she had sexual relations with.

Clem said the first name Daniels listed was Trump’s, and the radio host said during his show Daniels was discussing Trump during the interview.

“This interview happened in May 2007. I only asked the questions. Stormy answered them,” Clem said in a statement to CNN. “I wish her and our president nothing but the very best. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. We need to stop worrying about the past and focus on the future. President Trump is our president, regardless of who he slept with 12 plus years ago. The media and haters need to get over it.”

Daniels doesn’t mention the president’s name in the 2007 appearance, the audio of which CNN obtained. But details of the sexual encounter match those that have been made public.

In clips from the 2007 interview that aired again Friday, Daniels talked about an encounter she had with a rich man that occurred in Nevada. The former adult film star said the affair happened less than one year before she appeared on Clem’s show.

A lawsuit filed by Daniels last week said she had an “intimate relationship” with Trump in the “summer of 2006 in Lake Tahoe.” The two met at a celebrity golf tournament, and the alleged affair continued into 2007.

A co-host then asked Daniels during the 2007 appearance to “write down a name and we won’t say it on air, for our own personal reasons,” according to CNN.

Daniels went on to say the encounter occurred in “Nevada, but not Vegas” and later mentioned it happened in Lake Tahoe.

The former adult film star received $130,000 before the 2016 presidential campaign as part of an agreement she signed to remain quiet about the sexual encounter with Trump.

Michael Cohen, Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, admitted to facilitating the payment.

But Daniels argues in the lawsuit filed last week the “hush agreement” should be voided because Trump did not sign it.

The White House has denied Daniels’ allegations about an affair with Trump and said the president did not know about the $130,000 payment.

But Daniels claims in the lawsuit Trump “at all times has been fully aware of the negotiations with her.”

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters Trump prevailed over Daniels in arbitration.

“I can share that arbitration was won in the president’s favor,” she said last week. “I would refer you to the president’s outside counsel on any details beyond that.”
