OnTime Networks joins Cisco® Solution Technology Integrator (STI) program to add Cisco® technology to its cutting-edge rugged military Ethernet router solutions

DALLAS, Dec. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- OnTime Networks, a leading supplier of fully rugged and embedded network connectivity products and systems, announced today that they have entered a Solution Technology Integrator (STI) agreement with Cisco® Systems.

OnTime Networks joins Cisco® Solution Technology Integrator (STI) program to add Cisco® technology to its cutting-edge rugged military Ethernet router solutions. Cisco® 5921 Embedded Services Router (ESR) with the Advanced Enterprise router package for Aerospace and Defense customers

The STI agreement enables OnTime Networks to incorporate Cisco® technology into its fully rugged military grade Cloudberry products, as well as other next-generation solutions.

"As a member of the Cisco® Solution Technology Integrator program, we now can offer our customers Cisco's secure routing technologies," said Scott Killian, Director of Sales in the Americas. He continued, "Bringing Cisco® technology to our Cloudberry product family has long been an important requirement for our customers and this agreement will further enhance the value and quality we deliver to customers seeking next generation solutions."

He continued, "With the fully rugged CR-6200 and CR-6900 Series products, OnTime Networks has been supplying the Aerospace and Defense market a rugged SWaP optimized Ethernet Switch, Time Server and Router. Now we can also offer the Cisco® 5921 Embedded Services Router (ESR) with the Advanced Enterprise router package to our Aerospace and Defense customers. Our Cloudberry solutions coupled with the Cisco® 5921 ESR meets customer needs for fully rugged and seamless routing performance in mobile or statinary applications. The CR-6200 and CR6900 Cloudberry platforms are designed for deployment in harsh environments, with the highest level of reliability and unmatched performance. These platforms provide highly secure data, voice, and video communications to stationary and mobile network nodes across wired and wireless links."

About Cisco 5921 ESR

The Cisco® 5921 ESR is part of the Cisco® 5900 Series ESRs, all optimized for mobile networks that require IP routing and services. The fully rugged Cloudberry products, complemented by Cisco® IOS Software and Cisco® Mobile Ready Net capabilities, provide highly secure data, voice, and video communications to stationary and mobile network nodes across wired and wireless links.

The Cloudberry products are specifically designed to provide reliable, high-performance connectivity for extremely demanding size, weight and power (SWaP) constraints in harsh demanding environments (e.g. high altitude, extreme shock & vibration, extended temperatures, humidity, dust & water exposure, noisy EMI, dirty power).

The Cisco® 5921 ESR meets the critical need for on-demand network connectivity for industrial, commercial, military, homeland-security, and emergency-response applications. It offers:

  • High performance
  • Portability
  • Security to protect the network and data transmitted over the network
  • Remote voice services with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CME)
  • Streaming multicast video support

It also integrates sophisticated networking capabilities, such as quality of service (QoS), to help ensure the most important data gets through when links are degraded. The Cisco® 5921 ESR more securely extends enterprise network resources to public safety and defense markets. The Cisco® 5921 Embedded Service Router can be deployed in mission-critical mobile communications to take advantage of Cisco® Mobile Ready Net capabilities that provide:

  • Transparent access of mission-critical voice, video, or data information
  • Infrastructure-less networking, reaching beyond the range of a fixed network
  • Radio-aware routing, immediately recognizing and reacting to changes in neighbor status
  • Self-forming networks, offering immediate connection with no required pre-configuration of peers, and eliminating the need for connectivity to the centralized network

Cisco® certified routing protocols enable nodes to quickly adapt to changing network topologies and establish ad hoc networks as nodes move in and out of a fixed network infrastructure. As an approved Cisco® STI partner, OnTime Networks combines its expertise in system integration, networking technology and rugged design across a wide range of harsh demanding environments with the proven solutions of Cisco mobile routing.
