Earlier this year, a Morris County judge reinstated a legal malpractice lawsuit filed by Teresa Giudice, alleging that her former bankruptcy attorney’s work landed her in federal prison.
Giudice completed her prison sentence in December 2015. Her husband Joe is currently serving a 41-month sentence.
The lawsuit alleges that Kridel’s handling of Giudice’s bankruptcy forced her to accept a plea deal for mortgage and bankruptcy charges. It alleges Kridel’s work cost Giudice “her freedom” and forced her to lose income, incur legal fees, lose income and damaged her reputation. Settlement talks for the lawsuit broke down in August.
The Legacy Castle, a luxury castle-themed banquet hall in Pompton Plains, opened in September and has already hosted weddings and events. Since it's tied to former housewife Caroline Manzo, viewers may get a peek inside this season.
The venue is a business venture by Badanco Holding Co. which consulted Albert and Thomas Manzo, owners of The Brownstone in Paterson and relatives of Manzo.
The 82,000-square-foot banquet hall at 141 Route 23 sits on 42 acres surrounded by water on either side. A look inside shows floor to ceiling detail work, marble floors and sparkling crystal chandeliers.

Giudice released a new book "Standing Strong," Oct. 3, the day before the season premiere. The book delves into her troubled marriage to Joe Giudice that she described as a "nightmare" at times.
Her husband is still in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud charges. Previously Giudice, also spent 11 months in prison as part of the bankruptcy fraud.
She said she's standing by her husband for now, though, and will see how she feels when he's released from prison, according to Bravo's website.
7. Stay up to date with our real-time coverage and recaps
Now that you're all caught up, don't forget to tune in to Bravo at 9 p.m. tonight for the premiere. Staff writer and digital producer Zac Croce will live tweet during the episodes and post recaps of each episode after the mayhem has concluded. Be sure to check back for more RHONJ and follow @ZacCroce on Twitter.
Here's a bit more about Zac.
Zac Croce is a digital producer at NorthJersey.com and The Record, and a reluctant watcher of Real Housewives franchise (his girlfriend is the real fan). Prior to joining the digital team at NorthJersey, Zac worked as a community editor in Rockland County for Daily Voice and as a reporter for the South Bergenite newspaper, where he covered Lyndhurst and North Arlington.
When Zac isn’t forcing his girlfriend to watch soccer, the Yankees or the Giants, they’re probably watching one of the Real Housewives franchises, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, or 90 Day Fiance. His friend once tried to persuade him to grab a bite to eat at the Oakland Diner because “Danielle at there with Danny that one time.”
