First Lady Melania Trump visited the Coastal Bend on Wednesday for a follow-up trip to areas that were first hit by Hurricane Harvey in August.
This isn't the first time Trump has visited Corpus Christi since the storm. She and her husband, President Donald Trump, landed at the airport on Aug. 29 just days after the the Category 4 storm pummeled Aransas and Nueces counties, among others, before regathering strength in the Gulf and flooding Southeast Texas.

On the agenda is a meet and greet with locals who helped during the storm and recovery. They'll then head to Rockport to view manufactured housing and make a stop at Charlie Marshall Elementary School before heading to the Coastal Bend Food Bank.

3:30 p.m.: Trump's plane has left the Coastal Bend.
3:11 p.m.: Trump has boarded a plan at Corpus Christi International Airport to depart.
2:57 p.m.: The group made sure to bring back french fries for the press pool.
2:50 p.m.: The first lady is taking a chance on a Texas favorite and grabbing lunch at the fast food restaurant.
2:46 p.m.: The first lady's motorcade has stopped at a Whataburger on Old Brownsville Road.
2:40 p.m.: First lady Melania Trump, second lady Karen Pence, first lady of Texas Cecilia Abbott and Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush arrive at the Coastal Bend Food Bank in Corpus Christi.
Trump visited with Bea Hanson, executive director of the food bank, before helping stock boxes of food that are distributed to residents of Corpus Christi and surrounding communities, including Rockport, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, Bayside and Refugio.
In a leaking warehouse that was damaged during Hurricane Harvey, the visitors continued stocking food boxes. Trump worked with retired Army Major Warren Phipps who started volunteering days after the storm hit the area.
The food bank is the last stop on the presidential trip in the Coastal Bend.
2:25 p.m.: Trump is helping to fill boxes at Coastal Bend Food Bank.
2:02 p.m.: The first lady and her group have arrived at the Coastal Bend Food Bank.
1:15 p.m.: Now the group is checking out a poetry class at the Aransas Pass school.
1:05 p.m.: Students are shaking hands with the first lady, who's visiting a few of the classrooms along with Cecilia Abbott and Karen Pence. One class is learning about the proper use of commas.
12:45 p.m.: The group is now visiting with students.
12:35 p.m.: Motorcade arrives at Charlie Marshall Elementary School in Aransas Pass. The first room they visited was Mrs. Medina’s fourth grade class where the students were learning the difference between facts and opinions.
12:20 p.m.: Speaking from a podium with a "Texas Rebuilds" sign on display first lady Melania Trump said her husband's administration has worked with Texas Gov. Greb Abbott to ensure that resources were made available to help communities affected by the storm.
"And I know I speak for him, as well as vice president and Karen Pence when I tell you that we are with you every step of the way to help you rebuild even stronger than before," she said.
She also thanked the Zamoranos.
"I am so impressed by your positive attitudes and resilient spirit, and look forward to the progress you will make as you rebuild your home and make new memories," she said. "As we approach Christmas this holiday season, your family is an example of what it means to have hope and recognize your blessings."
Cecilia Abbott, the governor's wife, and Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush also briefly spoke about rebuilding efforts.
Bush said about 600 temporary homes have been given to people affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
Abbott thanked the first and second ladies for the trip and for their continued interest in the recovery efforts of Texas. Pence said it’s an honor to travel with Trump.
“(Trump) comes here to Texas with a caring heart and a true concern and compassion for all those impacted by the storm,” Pence said. “In fact, the president shares the same concern and he and his administration continue to fight for resources for the people of Texas.”
12:07 p.m.: After looking at the home that was damaged by the storm First Lady Melania Trump spoke with the Zamoranos and hugged their children.
11:50 a.m.: The group is surveying damage to a couple's home. The home belonged to Rosemary and Mario Zamorano. They built the home and raised their five children in it. They plan to rebuild. Next to the destroyed home is the Zamorano’s trailer provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
11:38 a.m.: The motorcade is still en route to Rockport where the group will meet with a family that lost their home because of Hurricane Harvey.
11:05 a.m.: It's picture time. Before the group departed for Rockport the first lady posed for photos with local law enforcement and military personnel. It's about a 45 minute drive to Rockport, which is neighboring Aransas County.
10:50 a.m.: The first lady is speaking with members of the military beside a Black Hawk helicopter in the airport hangar near the plane. They are with Cecilia Abbott, wife of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, and Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush.
10:45 a.m.: The first lady and second lady will meet with first responders soon. About 40-50 first responders and military personnel gathered at the Signature Hangar of the Corpus Christi airport. Several members of the U.S. Army, Corpus Christi Fire Department, Rockport Police Department and the Nueces County Sheriff's Office were in attendance.
10:30 a.m.: The plane has landed in Corpus Christi.
