The Coe-Brown boys’ JV basketball team defeated Kearsarge, 56-36. Keegan Paradis led Coe-Brown with 17 points and Dominic Cronshaw scored nine.

The St. Paul’s School Alpine team finished the season with league championship titles in slalom for its boys and girls teams. Reed Cole led the girls with a first-place finish. Daniel Cho placed second to lead the boys’ team.

The St. Paul’s School girls’ hockey team defeated Cushing Academy, 9-1. Gaby Roy, Olivia Lin, Gillis Frechette and Natalie Tulchinsky each scored a pair of goals, and Clare O’Leary recorded four assists.

The Tilton School girls’ basketball team defeated Cushing Academy, 63-24. Hopkinton’s Maddie Clark scored 10 points and recorded six assists for the Rams.

The Tilton School girls’ JV basketball team defeated Cushing Academy, 38-21. Meeka Bolduc led the Rams with 23 points, nine steals and seven rebounds.

The Tilton School boys’ JV basketball team defeated New Hampton, 79-21. Bennie Gantrish and Nick Resendiz combined for 29 points to lead the Rams.

College results

The University of New Hampshire women’s lacrosse team lost to Dartmouth, 13-3. Krissy Schafer led the Wildcats with two goals. Katie Bourque led the Big Green with three goals and three assists. UNH is 1-2; Dartmouth is 1-1.

HDHS spring sports

Hillsboro-Deering High School spring sports tryouts will be on March 5 at 2:15 p.m. Baseball will meet in the gym, softball will meet in the cafeteria and track will meet in room 222.

Merrimack Valley Youth Baseball & Softball is accepting player registrations for the 2018 season at MVYBS serves boys and girls ages 4-16 from Penacook, Boscawen, Webster, Salisbury, Andover and Loudon. Cap City Basketball AAU tryouts will be held on Saturday and March 11 for boys and girls in grades 2-10. Players must attend tryouts on all three dates. There will be at least one team for every age group for boys and girls for the upcoming spring season. All tryouts will be held at Bishop Brady High School. Tryout times (same on all three dates) for grades 2-4 will be 2-3:20 p.m., grades 5-7 will be 3:30-4:45 p.m. and grades 8-10 will be 4:45-6 p.m. Cost is $30 in cash or $35 with a check and covers all three tryout dates. Northeast Delta Dental Mount Washington Road Race registration runs through Monday. Entrants in the race, a grueling 7.6 miles up New Hampshire’s famously steep and scenic Mt. Washington Auto Road, are chosen by a lottery, accessible at Lottery registration closes on Monday at 11:59 p.m. Following the close of registration for the lottery, a computer randomly selects the runners who will be entered in the race. The entry fee, charged to those who are selected, is $95. Notification of acceptance or rejection by the lottery will be sent via email to each applicant on March 1. This year’s race will take place on June 16 with a 9 a.m. start.

Concord Babe Ruth Baseball has opened registration for the upcoming season. Players can be registered online at or in person on March 3 at Dick’s Sporting Goods on Loudon Road in Concord from 9 a.m. to noon.

FieldHouse Sports youth soccer clinics are now open for registration. The next five-week session of Little Strikers soccer skills clinics, for ages 3-6 begins March 3 and meets Saturday mornings. Clinics are instructional, interactive and fun. Cost for Mini Strikers (ages 3-4) is $40 and Little Strikers (ages 5-6) is $50. T-shirt included. Central Force Basketball is holding tryouts for its girls’ teams on March 10 at Belmont High School and March 11 at Belmont Middle School. Merrimack Valley baseball annual youth clinic series run by MV players and coaches for players age 8-12 has started.
