Neotel has dropped its international consumer call rates to India and China to 25c per minute for pre-paid customers. For their post-paid customers, it’s R1 for the first minute, with the next nine minutes free.
Subscribers making calls to China and India will see this drop in call rates when making calls during off-peak periods, Neotel said in a press statement issued today (11 September 2012).
Off-peak times run from 18:00 to 07.00 on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays, Neotel said.
Neotel also said that the rates remain the same whether the call to India or China is made to a fixed line or mobile telephone. The calls will be billed on standard per second billing.
Angus Hay, head of business development at Neotel said that they already offer the most competitive call rates within South Africa, and that other international destinations will be added in due course.
