The endorsement session comes as Democrat J.B. Pritzker has been responding to Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner's new ads featuring audio of Pritzker talking to disgraced former Gov. Rod Blagojevich about a possible political appointment. Kenilworth businessman Chris Kennedy has been in a back-and-forth with Mayor Rahm Emanuel after accusing him of leading a "strategic gentrification plan.” And Evanston state Sen. Daniel Biss has dubbed himself the "middle-class governor."
